OUR Current State Officer!! Elizabeth Orozco is a senior attending Tonopah Valley High School in Tonopah, Arizona. She is extremely dedicated to her education, family, and extracurricular activities. Elizabeth is involved in a variety of school clubs and activities such as Student Ambassadors, Drama Club, and AP Club. Elizabeth has always held a loving passion for FBLA, as she had been introduced early on during middle school, watching her older sister and friends participate in competitions, then later explaining to her all the fun experiences they had because of the organization. She has also been a part of her local FBLA chapter for three consecutive years and served as chapter reporter her sophomore year, followed by chapter secretary her junior year. Furthermore, she was recognized for placing in Website Design two years in a row and received the Building Better Members Pin her sophomore year. After high school Elizabeth plans to attend Arizona State University in hopes of attaining a degree in Political Science. Elizabeth is immensely thankful for all of the wonderful opportunities this organization has given her and cannot wait to serve FBLA and all of its amazing members this year.
Favorite Quote: "The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of will."
Favorite Conference: A conference that held the deepest impact on Elizabeth was her first State Leadership Conference. There she was able to network with other members, enhance her leadership skills, and participate in a variety of engaging competitions. Little did she know she would place that year, and go on to experience her first National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, California, where she would make countless numbers of memories, friends, and learned what it truly meant to be a business leader. These moments helped her realize she was in love with an organization that always brought out the best in everyone, where it encouraged personal and professional growth, and could change people for the better. It was then that she knew she wanted to participate in FBLA on a larger scale where she could help all members grow as she did, and hopefully encourage others to achieve their goals, even if it means facing their biggest fears, and taking a chance.
Favorite Goal: "Strengthen the confidence of students in themselves and in their work."
